Elite Spider 8.0
12 February 2010
An initial review of the Magnum Spider 8.0 tactical boot. Light, strong, practical, and comfortable indoors at room temperature or outside in the bone chilling cold. These breathe, but even spending a half hour in -7*F (-22* C) my feet stayed warm. You can't ask for much more than that. Slip resistance on ice is good, but not exceptional.
Nice boot for everyday use. Light and fast as well. Haven't fully broken them in yet though, so I can't attest to their durability. Comfortable as far as cushoining and fit. The cushioning isn't too much or too little. It seems just right.
One thing I should add is, when buying Magnum boots, always order one size smaller than what you typically wear. For instance, I'm usually a size US 11, but with Magnum boots, I'm a US 10.5.
